Frequently asked questions
Can the Fire Engine access our venue?
The Fire Engine can access most venues, generally because most places have access in case of a fire! We will confirm access arrangements with you and the venue as part of the booking process.
Why a fire engine?
Because ordinary was never an option. With our roots at The Old Fire Station, a fire engine was the perfect fit. It gives us room for a high-capacity pizza oven and a built-in bar—and it makes a brilliant impression when it arrives.
How long is the Fire Engine?
The Fire Engine is just under eight metres long.
What’s the full area you need?
We use a canopy or gazebo at the front and a smaller preparation gazebo at the rear. As long as there is enough room to walk around the back of the vehicle, we should have the space we need.
What sort of ground do you require?
Hard standing or firm grass is suitable, provided the area is reasonably level.
Do you need electricity/water?
Access to a standard 13-amp socket is helpful for our fridges and LED lighting, although we can use our own generator if required. We bring our own water supply.
Do we have to book both bar and pizza?
No. You may book pizza, the bar, or both, although the Fire Engine is generally prioritised for pizza bookings.
How much time do you need to set up before serving?
We need at least one hour to set up before service, although a little longer is preferable.
How many pizzas can you make in an hour?
We can comfortably produce around 80 pizzas per hour.
How are pizzas served?
Our 12-inch pizzas can be served whole, boxed, plated or as buffet-style slices.
Which pizzas can we choose?
We normally recommend five or six pizza varieties, agreed with you in advance. This gives guests a great choice while keeping service fast and availability consistent throughout your event.
Are pizzas made fresh?
Yes. Every pizza is handmade at your event using fresh dough—never frozen and never pre-baked.
Do you cater for allergies and intolerances?
We can accommodate a wide range of dietary requirements, including coeliac guests. Please tell us about allergies and intolerances in advance so we can discuss suitable options and preparation arrangements.
How far do you travel?
Our usual service area is within 25 miles of Warminster, Wiltshire. We are happy to travel farther, with an additional mileage charge applying beyond that radius.
What payments are accepted?
We accept card and cash payments.
